When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. When you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email from Google — we do not receive your password.
We automatically collect usage data including: DSA problems you solve, job applications you track, notes you save, and activity dates (for streak tracking). This data is tied to your account and is never sold.
We do not collect payment information — Career Crate is free.
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (neon.tech), located in US East. Neon is SOC 2 Type II certified. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in (NextAuth.js). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. You can opt out of job alerts from your profile page. You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have rights under GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, and portability.
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts (no login for 2 years) may be deleted with 30 days notice to your registered email.
